Austin Dean (29), a foreign hitter for the LG Twins of the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO), has hit his longest home run since joining the league.

메이저놀이터 Austin started at first base as the No. 4 hitter in a home game against the Kiwoom Heroes in the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on Wednesday and hit a two-run shot in the bottom of the fifth inning.

After drawing a walk in his first two at-bats in the first and fourth innings, Austin got his third chance at the plate in the bottom of the fifth inning with his team leading 3-2.

He lined a 131.9-kilometre changeup from Keene starter Ian McKinney for a massive arch over the left field fence. It was Austin’s 14th home run of the season.

The home run was measured at 130.6 metres by the club’s Trackman. This is Austin’s longest home run of the season. The previous record was a 126.3-metre home run off Choi Seung-yong against the Doosan Bears on 2 June.
