The Toronto Blue Jays celebrated “Blue Monster토스카지노” Hyun-jin Ryu’s first win since returning from injury in Korean.
Hyun-jin Ryu started the 2023 Major League Baseball home game against the Chicago Cubs at Rogers Centre in Ontario, Canada, on Thursday (July 14) and pitched five innings of two-hit ball with two walks and three strikeouts, giving him his first win in 444 days since he pitched against the Los Angeles Angels on May 27 last year before undergoing elbow surgery. In just his third game back from injury, he showed off his sharp stuff to pick up his first win.
The first inning was a combination of sluggishness and bad luck. With one out, Nico Horner walked and Ian Happ reached on an error by first baseman Brandon Belt. He got the hard-hitting Cody Bellinger to fly out to left field to give him some breathing room, but gave up a two-run double to Dansby Swanson. Luckily, both runs were unearned as they came after an error.
In the second inning, Ryu Jin-woon pitched a gem. He retired the side in order on 11 pitches, including one strikeout, and with two outs and a 5-2 lead in the third, he gave up a single to Horner, but after Horner failed to steal second, he got Happ to fly out to right field to end the inning.
He also got out of a bases-loaded jam in the fourth inning when Bellinger led off with a single. He got Swanson and Seiya Suzuki to fly out to centre before using a sharp changeup to get Patrick Wisdom to ground out to short.

The fifth inning was just as clean with an 8-2 lead. He needed just 13 pitches to strike out Nick Madrigal, Miguel Amaya, and Christopher Morel to earn the win.
After throwing 86 pitches, Ryu ended the game on a high note, handing the baton to Yoenis Cabrera in the sixth inning with an 8-2 lead. Toronto went on to win 11-4, and Ryu got the win.
After the game, Toronto took to social media to celebrate the return of their ace. The team uploaded a record 10 photos and videos of Ryu’s performance, with the caption, “444 days of patience and hard work. Congratulations and welcome to Ryu’s victory,” he wrote. At the end of the post, he added a personalised greeting to Ryu, saying “Congratulations” in Korean.
